I do not know why but there may be just a thing about a lady in the red dress that screams pure power and elegance. I feel a red dress is as indispensable as an LBD. I have always loved red-dresses in various silhouettes (fit-and-flair, A-line, Mermaid, Sheath) and ideally would love to have one of each kind, but it is super tricky to find the right cut, length and most-importantly the shade of red that would complement your personality. Thanks to this cute Banana Republic dress that I now have something super gorgeous in the sundress-category. So when my husband proposed we go for wine-tasting this weekend, without a doubt I took out this absolutely ravishing red beauty from my closet and with right make-up and accessories I was ready to make a statement.
This dress is sassy, bold, alive, conspicuous and little bit of naughty. The easy breezy fabric gives you that "flow in the wind" look and the key hole neck line and the fitted waist add nice details to the dress. The dress hits right above the knee making it perfect for most occasions (bang for my buck when I am able to wear something for both work and casual events). The dress runs a lil large but I did not size down as I loved the roomy finish (a size smaller could have been tight around the waist).
Its crucial to crew red together with the right shades of accessories. A widespread mistake should be to team a red dress with black, which only deadens the shade. Taupe, pewter or nude-colored footwear function far better, so I paired this gorgeous dress with these Odette glossy patent leather pumps with this elegant bow that adds a feminine finish to this already glam design. With 3'' of heel these pumps are quite sassy yet comfortable. Most vineyards around Seattle have parking lots, manicured walkways, and seated tastings so these heels weren't a bad choice for the occasion.
Finally I carried my light oak Tory Burch pebbled leather tote that is insanely practical and can carry what not! (jacket, makeup, water, wallet, phone, keys, entire home lol). Sadly this bag is out of stock and so I am recommending something similar here.
Also I just cannot step out without these gorgeous Fendi sunnies. They are so stylish and sassy and honestly the best xxx dollars I spent this summer!
So stand tall, Be bold, Be Fierce and Make a statement, After all, you happen to be the lady in red.
